Michelle Armour, LMT, works with a combination of knowledge and compassion. Michelle is dedicated to helping her clients and providing just what they are looking for, whether that is a massage with a focus on specific corrective work, a massage that leaves the client feeling so relaxed that they need to be poured off of the table, or anything in between. She attended Cortiva Institute, Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy, where she completed a 600 hour certification program. Since graduating from Cortiva in 2009, she has been working as a full time Massage Therapist, and has been an associate at Soul Source since 2012. She continues to expand her knowledge of massage and bodywork with training in areas such as Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Prenatal, and Thai Massage. Michelle has her license in the state of Pennsylvania and is certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). She is a Certified Level member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
Michelle is also a yoga instructor. Having attended a year-long teacher training program at Yogalife Institute in Devon, PA (publishers of Yoga Living Magazine), she studied the philosophy and practice of Classical Yoga. When appropriate, she brings her knowledge of the yogic system into her massage practice, empowering her clients to continue the healing process on their own by sending them home with poses and stretches to address their needs and compliment the bodywork that she provides.
A musician and singer, Michelle knows that the demands of our jobs and passions can take their toll. She understands the importance of maintaining our bodies, and finds great joy in helping her clients to stay healthy and feeling good so that they can continue to do what they love!
